Gearbox Type: 8-speed Tiptronic S
The 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission is designed to handle the high torque of the hybrid system. Unlike the PDK found in sports cars, the Tiptronic uses a torque converter which is better suited for the Cayenne's 3,500 kg towing capacity and off-road requirements.
Drive Type: AWD (All-Wheel Drive)
The active all-wheel-drive system uses an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch. This Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system can distribute 100% of the drive force between the front and rear axles depending on traction requirements.
